Gully Boy Official Trailer

Gully Boy Poster Ranveer Alia

I want to start with a confession. When I saw this trailer, I was compelled to post about it instantly. However, when I was going about setting up the post, I realized, I am at a loss of words. That's because Gully Boy Official Trailer is beyond any adjectives I can come up with. I mean, I went crazy looking at the teaser but even then, this is even better.

The first thing that struck me was, that this does not look like a typical Zoya Akhtar film. She has always been someone who loves to use loads of colors. Yes, her films demanded it too. Luck By Chance, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dil Dhadakne Do. But you can see she loves the brighter side of the palette. However, Gully Boy looks very somber (in a good way) with so many whites, greys, blacks, and amber. Then there is Ranveer Singh who is proving himself to be one of the most versatile actors in Hindi cinema. I can't imagine this man playing Bajirao, Khilji, Simmba and now this. Wow! Also loved the fact that Vijay Raaz is playing Ranveer's dad. I expect some great chemistry in their scenes together. Alia too looks in her element but as much as I saw in the trailer, it seems like a character that is very much in her space. The highlight of the trailer is undoubtedly the music. This will be the backbone of the film and Zoya seems to have done full justice to it.

I really hope I love the film as much as I have loved the trailer. 14th Feb cannot come soon enough. #apnatimeayega
