The OTT space in India has just exploded over the last year or so. Every platform is fighting hard to create loads of quality content but until recently, the biggies like Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar were the ones getting most of the traction from the viewers. However, in recent time, traditional channels have also come up to speed and are bringing a variety of content, some of which is very high quality. A new series looking to join the ranks of high-quality content is Lalbazaar.
Zee5 released the official teaser of Lalbazaar and it is another series in the crime genre. What helps it stands out is the fact that it marks the debut of Ajay Devgn in the web-series space. Lalbazaar is Devgn's debut production on OTT and puts together a great cast featuring Kaushik Sen, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Hrishitaa Bhatt, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. In fact, the voice over in the trailer is by Ajay Devgn and his deep-rooted tone definitely suits it. Let us hope Ajay brings his 'lucky-cop' charm (Singham, Simmba, Gangaajal) to Lalbazaar as well. The show starts streaming from 19th June on Zee5 Premium.
