Big disclaimer before I start this review. This one is going to be biased, no matter how much I try, I do not think it's going to be possible for me to give an unbiased view, at least not completely unbiased. But I'm still going to try my best and give as neutral a point of view as possible. This one's about a film that I anyway didn't want to go and watch in the theatre. Like I said, I'm biased about this, and when the film eventually did come down to OTT I'd been wondering if I'd have the heart to give it a shot and eventually I did. This one's about Chandu Champion.
In my view, Chandu Champion is a very average film. Kabir Khan's films are usually stunning to look at and this one is also like that more or less, but there are a couple of glaring errors or mishaps here that were very very obvious. There is a war scene where the actors jump on cue rather than when the actual blast happens, which was kind of funny and silly. I usually don't spot these things in the first watch in a Kabir Khan film. But really, that's that's just a teeny tiny issue in in everything else that's in the film.
Shreyas Thalpade is great, and Vijay Raaz is fantastic. He is a splendid actor and I wish there were some lengthier roles written for him. Every time Vijay Raaz is on the screen, he washes away, yes, he washes away Karthik Aryan every damn time. So I really don't understand what the big deal is about Chandu Champion because the lead star just is unable to evoke any kind of emotion. Yes, it is Karthik Aryan's best film till now and it is his best portrayal till now, but then you're comparing it to what kind of a benchmark. The person on whose life this film is based, he has done some remarkable things. So if I was in awe of somebody after I saw this film, it was that person because of the life that he had but it didn't really evoke an emotion for me no matter what that person was going through. It's just from a factual perspective, when I see that okay this is what happened this is what happened this is what happened, it was more about the writing and his life journey that amazed me but it wasn't really the film that brought it to life.
So understand what this is, <fast forwarded negative comments> I just don't have anything else nice to say <fast forwarded more negative comments>. The negativity of this film is still very much alive and kicking, so didn't enjoy it I would not recommend that you put in the time to watch it. If you are a Kartik Aryan fan, I'm assuming you've already watched it, if not, yeah you can watch it and be amazed at how much Kartik Aryan has improved. Kudos! Seriously yaar, matt dekho, it is such an average film. There are so many better things to watch. I've named a few you can go to filmyfool.com (you are already here 😊) and check out recommendations or must watch tabs and you'll find a lot of better things to watch. There is a lot of good content being produced there is just so much of content being produced that on an average majority of things would be better than this okay that's maybe a lie that's a stretch but a lot of things would be better than this for sure that I can vouch for no matter what the channel is you will find a lot of things that are better trust me
