Mission: Impossible Final Reckoning Review

After decades, after eight films, Mission: Impossible Final Reckoning gives Tom Cruise and Ethan Hunt the send-off they deserve. This is a big, confident, emotionally resonant finale.

Christopher McQuarrie knows this franchise inside out at this point, and Final Reckoning reflects that mastery. The action sequences are spectacular, as expected. But what makes this one land better than most is the emotional weight underneath it all. Cruise has given more to this character over the years than people fully appreciate, and this film acknowledges that. The stakes feel real. The goodbyes feel earned.

There is one sequence in the second half that is genuinely one of the best pieces of practical stunt work ever put on film. You will know it when you see it.

If you have followed this franchise at all, see this in a cinema. On a big screen. Loud. Mission: Impossible Final Reckoning is a proper ending to a remarkable run.
