Dhadak 2 is the kind of film where the verdict depends entirely on what you go in expecting. It is not a disaster. But it is not a memorable watch either.
The film takes on a social issue with good intentions and the performances from the leads are earnest throughout. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri are both capable actors and they do what the script allows. The problem is the script does not allow enough. The story is competent and linear but never finds the emotional core it needs to make you genuinely invested. For a film dealing with the subject it does, that is a meaningful miss.
Hit or miss? Closer to a miss, if I am being honest. Worth watching on OTT when you have nothing else on.
